HGUC #202 RGM-79(G) GM Ground Type 1/144

As a newer gunpla hobbyist I was initially drawn to the GMs for their looks. I like Zakus a lot, don't get me wrong, but I loved the shape, profile, and even character of the GMs even better. My first gunpla kit was the Origin RGM-79, and that was a stellar kit. It makes total sense, then, how this kit is both an excellent follow-up kit for that build but also a peek into how the design philosophy of the GM came to be during the One Year War.

Building the Ground Type is quick, easy, and satisfying. I've found GMs to be a great comfort-build, a kit I can open up on any given afternoon and finish within a couple hours (maybe even an hour and a half if I am really quick!) so the ability to army build these guys means I can practice a lot on cheaper models then do really well on the special kits.

Visually the Ground Type is fantastic. It's a straightforward, no nonsense suit that has a serious, cool look about it. The weapons, the color scheme, even the shield all give that practical look even more weight.

All in all, I want even more! I don't think 10 is enough!
